Saving the planet while living on the great plains.

South Dakota Green is a directory-in-progress. Eventually it will be a one-stop online center for finding all things sustainable in our great state: a collection of resources and links emphasizing green/local businesses, events, and opportunities specific to South Dakota. Keep checking back as updates continue.

I’ve just finished building a super-super-insulated house in SF. Walls: 10″ of foam in Structural Integrated Panels. 20″ of cellulose in the ceiling. Deep-well (6) geothermal heat-pump. NO wall-to-wall carpets. No sliding patio doors. NO incandescent lights (even a few well-used LEDs). Workin’ on a cistern and maybe a well. In 2-3 years, photoelectric panels.
    I guess I’m doin’ my part. Tours limited to 1st Saturdays, 1PM. 57th & Lewis. 339-2938

You might want to add FourFront Design in Rapid City to your Construction/Building section.

They were the first design firm in SD to be a member of the US Green Building Council, and their own remodeled, historic office building is up for a LEED Silver rating.
